The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine thanks Finland for its cooperation in the energy sector

Electricity storage systems play a key role in strengthening the resilience of Ukraine's energy sector.

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine expresses its gratitude to the Government of Finland and Finnish businesses for supporting Ukraine’s energy sector during the war, in a news post published on the ministry’s website. The ministry is confident that cooperation between the countries’ energy companies will continue.

A central role in ensuring the resilience and stability of Ukraine’s energy sector under wartime conditions plays the development of the electricity storage systems market, says Oleh Kapelyush, Deputy Director of Directorate of Strategic Planning and European Integration at the Ministry of Energy.

The ministry reports that in early September, it organized a meeting in cooperation with the Embassy of Finland between the Ukrainian state-owned companies Ukrenergo, Ukrhydroenergo, Operator rinku, and URM, and the Finnish energy storage system provider Cactos. During the war, Cactos systems have been used in Ukraine to ensure electricity supply under emergency conditions.
