Riihimäki will assume the position in the beginning of February.
The Board of EastCham Finland has appointed Henri Riihimäki as the new CEO. He will assume the position on February 2, 2026, as the current CEO, Jaana Rekolainen, retires.
Henri Riihimäki, M.Sc. (Tech.), will join EastCham from the Embassy of Finland in Kyiv, where he has served as a diplomat and Team Finland Senior Advisor since 2024. Prior to this, he has held various roles in export promotion at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, worked as a special advisor for the EBRD in Kazakhstan, served as Country Director for Russia, Eastern and Central Asia at KPA Unicon, and as CEO of Alteams Poland.
– Henri Riihimäki brings strong business-oriented experience from both the Ukrainian and Central Asian markets. In addition to his extensive networks, he has versatile experience in leadership and export promotion. We are confident that he is well-equipped to continue EastCham’s strong work in supporting Finnish companies’ success in our target markets, says Petri Vuorio, Chairman of EastCham’s Board.
– I am grateful to take on the role of CEO at EastCham, and together with the team, we will support Finnish companies in accessing the markets of Ukraine, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia. I want to provide Finnish companies with the latest market insights directly from Kyiv, helping us move forward in Ukraine’s reconstruction. The reconstruction of Ukraine is a unique opportunity for Finnish companies, says CEO Henri Riihimäki.
EastCham Finland is an international chamber of commerce that, as part of the Team Finland network, helps Finnish companies enter the markets of Ukraine, Central Asia, and the South Caucasus.
Together with the Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK), EastCham supports companies in joining Ukraine’s reconstruction by offering market analyses, partner searches, and advisory services through the joint EastCham-EK office. The goal of the Pro Ukraine project is to involve more than 200 companies in Ukraine’s reconstruction over the next two years.
