Uzbek mining company Almalyk deepens cooperation with Finnish companies
Almalyk already has a long-standing partnership with EPSE and Metso.
The Uzbek mining company Almalyk is looking to deepen its cooperation with Finnish companies, according to a news post on its website. The company recently met with Ilkka Räisänen, Finland’s roving ambassador to Central Asia, along with representatives of Finnish businesses.
Almalyk has been collaborating for years with EPSE, a company specializing in water purification, and Metso, a supplier of equipment for the mining industry.
This year, EPSE carried out a pilot project at Almalyk’s mine, which will soon begin using Finnish water purification technology. Almalyk has also ordered technology from Metso for its copper smelting project, among others.
