Team Finland visit to Kazakhstan – Intergovernmental Commission Meeting
Welcome to join us on the Team Finland visit to Kazakhstan. Team Finland visit to Kazakhstan will be organized as a part of the Kazakh-Finnish Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation meeting in Astana.
The Intergovernmental Commission provides Finnish companies with an opportunity to explore business prospects and partners in Kazakhstan, as well as gain visibility through a high-level visit. The previous meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission was held in Helsinki in 2022.
The Team Finland visit program includes a stop-over and business program in Almaty.
The visit is focused especially on the following industries: mining, energy & construction, water and environmental industries, forestry, logistics and education.
The visit is organized by Team Finland network: Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Finland’s Embassy in Astana and EastCham Finland.

Tuesday 9th April, Arrival in Almaty
Wednesday 10th April, Business program in Almaty
- Meeting with the administration of the City of Almaty
- The topics for discussion: city development, energy, green and sustainable solutions for industry
- Business Round Table
- The topics for discussion: innovative solutions for construction and industry, and school projects
Late departure to Astana
Thursday 11th April, Intergovernmental commission meeting
- Ministerial meetings
- Sectoral Ministries’ meetings
- Business Round Table
Friday 12th April
- Time for own meetings/ ministry visits for selected companies/ travel back home
Registration, travel arrangements and participation fee:
All participants take care of the travel arrangements by themselves. We will soon share suggestions for suitable flight connections and hotels.
Participation fee: to cover the expenses for the program in Almaty, the participation fee is 400 € + VAT/participant. EastCham member companies 300 €+ VAT. 2nd participant from the same company 300 € + VAT. Invoicing after the visit.
