TF-visit to Kazakhstan: Clean Air & Water Solutions from Finland

Time
Location
Astana, Kazakhstan

EastCham is organizing a Team Finland visit to Kazakhstan 12.11.2024 together with MFA, Finnish Water Forum and Finnpartnership. The delegation is headed by ambassador Janne Heiskanen.

The visit is targeted at companies offering technologies and solutions for industries, with a focus on water and air purification, monitoring, and emission reduction. Educational institutions specializing in these areas are also encouraged to participate.

Why participate?
According to the Environmental Code of Kazakhstan it is expected that 50 largest oil and gas, mining and metallurgical, chemical, and energy generation sector companies will require to equip their production facilities for example with the best available online, continuous & remote environmental monitoring technologies by 2025. The development has not been as rapid as the government has expected and it is creating pressure for companies to move forward with their plans.

We will bring Finnish companies to the same table with the large Kazakh companies that are seeking solutions to comply with the requirements of the Eco Code.

The visit is for companies providing technologies and solutions for:

  • Technology:
    • Air and water monitoring
    • Air/water emission control
    • Air/water purification technology
  • Educational institutions:
    • Capacity building cooperation projects

Registration: Please contact [email protected] by 25.10.

There is no participation fee for the visit program, but participants will take care of travel and accommodation reservations and costs individually.

The event will be held at Sheraton Astana hotel. The hotel has kindly offered our delegation discount price for the accommodation (limited amount of discounted rooms available).
Registered participants will receive information on how to take advantage of the hotel offer.

There are several flight connections e.g. from Helsinki via Istanbul to Astana. Please note, that the program will start on the first half of the day – and plan your flight connections accordingly.
