Tuuli Järvinen has been appointed as Communications Coordinator of EastCham Finland

Järvinen started her position on 15th August.

Tuuli Järvinen has previously worked in Copenhagen as a project manager for Danish Entrepreneurs and KPI Communications, where she led client projects for tech firms and public organizations. Her work has focused on entrepreneurial opportunities for Ukrainian refugees in the Nordics, strengthening the resilience of SMEs through digital skills, and advocacy between the European startup community and policymakers in Brussels. Järvinen has been involved in shaping the startup community’s opinion on EU legislation by organising conferences, roundtables, opinion papers, and EU-wide campaigns together with stakeholders.

Tuuli Järvinen holds a Master’s degree in Political Communication and a Bachelor’s degree in International Sales and Marketing. She completed her studies in Denmark, Sweden, and Belgium and lived abroad for the past 12 years before moving back in the spring of 2024.

At EastCham, Järvinen will be responsible for coordinating communications and assisting in the production and development of events and member services.

Mikael Pentikäinen has been elected as the Chairman of EastCham Finland’s board

The board of EastCham Finland has chosen Mikael Pentikäinen as its chairman until the general meeting to be held in the spring of 2024. Pentikäinen has served as the Vice Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce from 2019 to 2023 and as a member of the board since 2018. Mikael Pentikäinen is the CEO of Suomen Yrittäjät.

EastCham Finland’s St Petersburg representative office is to be closed. The process of closing the Chamber of Commerce’s last representative office in Russia was initiated after a decision by the Chamber’s Board of Directors earlier this autumn. The employment contracts of staff have been terminated.

Altyn Shakirkhanova started her position on August 7, 2023. She coordinates the local work of EastCham Finland, provides market reviews, gives business advisory services, and helps Finnish companies to enter the Central Asian market, especially Kazakhstan.
