Ukrnafta and Wärtsilä to develop distributed generation

Wärtsilä will supply equipment to Ukraine.

JSC Ukrnafta, a member of Naftogaz Group, has concluded a framework agreement with the Finnish company Wärtsilä for the supply of equipment for the construction of distributed generation facilities.

The agreement was signed by Ukrnafta’s Executive Board member Maris Kunickis during a meeting between Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

– This is one of Naftogaz Group strategic projects, aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s energy security amidst non-stop Russian attacks on energy infrastructure, says CEO of Naftogaz Group Sergii Koretskyi.
