EastCham's General Meeting elects new board for 2024-2026
Mikael Pentikäinen will continue as chairman.
EastCham Finland’s annual General Meeting on May 21st reviewed and approved the 2023 annual report and confirmed the financial statements. The general meeting also elected a new board for the next two-year term, 2024-2026.
Mikael Pentikäinen, from the Suomen yrittäjät, will continue as Chairman of the board. Elina Multanen from Finnhub and Petri Vuorio from the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK were elected as Vice-Chairmen. Five new members were elected to the board.
In his opening speech at the meeting, Pentikäinen spoke about how EastCham has been developing a new strategy, operational foundation, and role in Europe. Key measures have included opening offices in Almaty, Kazakhstan in the fall of 2023 and in Kyiv, Ukraine in the spring of 2024.
– The new offices are important milestones in the chamber’s history. We believe that through them we can better serve Finnish companies and the entire country, Pentikäinen says.
