The Annual General Meeting of EastCham Finland decided to open an office in Almaty

The decision supports EastCham’s new strategy.

Today, EastCham Finland’s regular Annual General Meeting discussed and approved the 2022 annual report and confirmed the financial statements. In addition, the Annual General Meeting also decided on the limits for membership fees, according to which the Board of Directors will confirm the membership fees for 2024.

The Annual General Meeting decided to open an EastCham office in Almaty, Kazakhstan. This decision supports EastCham’s new strategy, according to which EastCham supports the business of Finnish companies in the markets of Central Asia and South Caucasus and prepares for the rebuilding of Ukraine, together with companies.

“This is an important decision that makes it possible for us to better support Finnish companies in the Central Asian markets,” says Jaana Rekolainen, the CEO of EastCham Finland.

The composition of the Board of Directors was changed slightly. Earlier in the spring, Mona Grannenfelt, who acted as a Vice Chair of the Board of Directors, announced that she will no longer be available for the Board. Elina Multanen was elected as Vice Chair to replace her. Multanen was previously a Board member.
