Peikko opens factory in Ukraine

The factory project announced by Peikko last year in Bila Tserkva has been completed.

Peikko, a provider of construction structural solutions, has opened a factory in Bila Tserkva, Ukraine, the company announces. In August 2024, Peikko signed a contract to build production and storage facilities in the Bila Tserkva industrial park. The factory covers an area of 2,400 square meters.

The opening of the new factory was celebrated at the industrial park’s inauguration, the Industrial Evolution forum, on April 24. The industrial park is located about 75 kilometers south of Kyiv and offers good logistics connections by rail, road, and through the ports of southern Ukraine.

– We are honored to contribute to Ukraine’s reconstruction efforts with innovative solutions that require fewer resources, providing cost efficiency and faster construction timelines. Establishing local manufacturing capacity strengthens our business presence and supports important humanitarian objectives, states Topi Paananen, CEO of Peikko Group Corporation.

Olena Kutsai, head of EastCham’s Kyiv office, who attended the opening ceremony, considers the factory project an excellent example for other Finnish companies.

– Great example of taking actions now, as extra delay and uncertainty equal to missed opportunities in Ukraine, Kutsai says in her LinkedIn post, encouraging everyone to seize the opportunities in the Ukrainian market.
